GDPL is looking for a
Community Outreach Coordinator, who is dynamic, community-focused and has current experience introducing new initiatives that respond to the interests and needs of the community. The COC will build collaborative working relationships with patrons & community agencies to promote library services; and will develop and deliver programs, services, special events and projects that advance the strategic directions of the library.
Qualifications & Experience
- Post-secondary Diploma, Degree or Certificate in Public Relations, Library Science, Communications, or other related field. - Excellent public relations & communication skills, tact, resourcefulness, time management, flexibility and the ability to perform independently and as part of a team. - Proven ability to develop and deliver diverse, creative & accessible outreach methods and programming - Ability to establish professional collaborative working relationships in the community
Hours and Salary: 21 to 25 hours per week TBD: must be able to work Wednesday evenings and Saturdays; $27.03/ hour during probationary period and then $28.75/hour.
